I'm working on some important projects at home and it's making me look more critically at the space I work in. It look me a long time to realize that the current layout isn't really working and it's a mess as it is. I'm going to have to bring a lot of things upstairs and take a few things down there. I'm not looking forward to turning things upside down again but this room is really bothering me. It reminds me of when I was 10 and I'd have a clean room except for a pile of things I didn't know what to do with.
I'm glad I have the next couple days off because I'll be able to spend a lot of time doing just that. I'm even going to hit IKEA again and get a new bookcase:
I have a small shelf that I built years ago which I'll be giving away. I'll post a picture of it tomorrow maybe. It's made to hold 12" vinyl albums and books. It's not made really well, but it's held up all this time. I need to make space in the basement for a whole new arrangement. It will be so exciting!
I have a new job! I work in a very nice office with good people. I park my car on one side of a bridge and walk the rest of the way to work! My goal is to take my bike to work soon. I need to build up my stamina. I wanted to recon the bridge on foot as I don't think I've been over the river by bike yet. I think riding downtown is going to be the scariest part of the commute.
